A quarterly check-in for couples

The relationship talk you keep meaning to have, four times a year.

SamePage guides you both through the conversation, four times a year, and keeps what you each said. The next one starts where the last one ended.

A check-in takes one sitting.

You both sit down

Pick a Sunday and put one phone on the table between you. Leave the other one in the kitchen. You do it in one go, and you can stop and pick it back up if something comes up.

The app asks

One question at a time, in a fixed order. Neither of you has to be the one who brings up money, or sex, or what happens after the lease ends. The question is already on the screen.

You don't start from scratch

Your answers are saved to a page you both own. Three months later the next check-in opens with what you each said last time, so you pick up the thread instead of going over old ground.

What the app does 01 / 04

You answer out loud, one question at a time. Your iPhone turns what you say into text on the device itself, so there is nothing to type and no recording kept.

Where you answer separately, a question only unlocks your partner's answer once you have both answered it. Neither of you reads the other's first.

Every question ends with a review step. You see what the app understood, edit it if it has it wrong, and nothing is saved until you confirm.

What you confirm builds into a record you both own, so the next session opens with what you each said last time instead of a blank page.

FAQ

“We already talk about this stuff.”

Most couples do, and usually at eleven at night in the middle of a disagreement. This puts the same conversation on a Sunday afternoon, when you're both in a state to hear it.

“Is this therapy?”

No. There's no therapist, no diagnosis and no homework afterwards. You run the conversation yourselves. The app holds the agenda so that neither of you has to.

“My partner won't sit down for this.”

Start on your own. Your answers save as soon as you're finished, and your partner can fill in their side whenever they get to it. You don't have to wait for them to begin.

“Do you keep the audio?”

No. There is never an audio file to keep: your iPhone turns speech into text on the device itself, so nothing is recorded and no transcript is sent to us. What gets saved is the answer you confirm, and you can delete your account from Settings whenever you want.

Guided experiences

For the conversations that only come up once.

The quarterly check-in handles the ongoing stuff. These are longer sessions for a specific moment, with their own questions and their own agenda.

Before Forever

The conversations worth having before you commit long term. Money, family, and what you each quietly assume the next ten years look like.

Moving In Together

Space, chores, money, and what happens when one of you needs the place to yourself.

Family Planning

Whether, when, and what each of you would need if the answer ever changed.

Annual Judgement Day

A longer version of the quarterly, once a year, covering the ground a normal session doesn't reach. It opens once you've done two check-ins together.

Practical questions

The rest of it.

What do we need to start?

An iPhone each, running iOS 26 or later. One of you signs up and the other joins from an invite. You can sign in with Apple, with Google, or with a one-time code sent to your email.

How long does a check-in take?

About an hour, in one sitting. You can stop partway through and pick it back up if something comes up.

Do we have to be in the same room?

No. You can each answer in your own time. A question only unlocks your partner's answer once you have both answered it, so neither of you reads the other's first and quietly edits your own to match.

Does my partner see everything I say?

They see what you confirm, and nothing else. Every question ends with a review step where you can edit your answer or leave it out of the record entirely. If you would not want it read, don't confirm it.

Where do our answers actually live?

How you talk stays on your phone. Your iPhone turns speech into text on the device itself, so no audio file is ever created, and no transcript is sent to us, to Apple, or to any AI provider.

The answers you confirm are stored on our servers, because that is what makes them visible to your partner and what survives a lost phone. You can delete your account from Settings, which removes your profile and unlinks you from your couple.

What happens if we stop paying?

You keep your history and you keep the ritual. Past check-ins stay exactly where they are, readable, in your shared record, and the quarterly check-in carries on at its normal cadence.

What if we break up?

Deleting your account removes you from the couple and deletes your profile. It does not reach back and erase entries your partner also holds a copy of, because you each contributed to one shared record. If you want your own contributions taken out of it, ask us and we will do it.

We started doing this in our own relationship three years ago. It was a Notion page called Judgement Day, full of questions we kept adding to and almost never opened. The times we did open it were the best conversations we had all year. SamePage is that page, except it remembers what we said last time so we don't start over.
